WHAT'S GOING ON

My Dear Parishioners,

I know many of you are experiencing heartbreaking devastation and loss caused by the windfires in the Palisades and Los Angeles.

I, too, have been mourning the loss of our church, the school and the rectory.

I am reminded that we cannot control when suffering enters our lives. However, we can grieve together and offer support whenever and however we can. We are also called to pray, as through prayer we can go directly to the God who cares about our deepest hurts and invites us to “leave our troubles in His hands.” (Psalm 55:22)

As we seek to support all affected by these wildfires, we invite you to pray with us each Sunday as we gather at God’s table and celebrate Mass together.

I have been so inspired as many parishes in Los Angeles and outside communities have offered assistance to help us to rebuild and many have invited us to come together at their churches to offer Mass together.

This coming Sunday, February 2 , the parish of Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 10750 Ohio Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90024,
(310) 474-1527, has invited our Corpus community to their church for Mass at 1 pm..
